Please welcome back former Varsity coach, Scott McCandless, as your White team head coach for the upcoming season. Scott will be joined by former Warrior Alumn and League MVP, Eddie Hein. We are so excited to have our home grown coaches back and in addition they will get assistance from new coach Ari Aberman, who will assist both the Red and White teams. Hockey will be back this fall and we are so excited about the team's potential under this staff. #returntoplay2020
Your Board, and especially your coaches committee, has been hard at work searching for the next hockey director/coach for the Warriors. We have found him and his name is Shawn Brown! Shawn comes to us with plenty of High School coaching experience, most recently on the bench of New Trier Green. Prior to NTG, Shawn was the Hockey Directory and Varsity Head Coach at Libertyville/Vernon Hills for 5 years. He was also the head coach at NT White and Notre Dame for a couple of years prior to that. In addition to Shawn's extensive coaching resume, he played at a high level as well. As a youth, Shawn played at CYA for 4 years, 4 years at Loyola and 4 years at Northern Illinois University where he was the Captain for 3.
Deerfield Hockey is proud to welcome Shawn to the Warrior Family!
It was a memorable year for the Red and White teams as they both over achieved their goals. A special thanks to Steve Becker for putting together this video montage that was shared with the Warriors at our season ending banquet.
Deerfield Hockey is excited to have seven new players join our roster this spring: Jackson Frankel, Roman Ghorbani, Dax Greenberg, Ethan Schmidt, Matthew St. John, Jack Weiss and Nate Wolfe. Be sure to say hello and welcome them to high school hockey.
Sunday March 8th at 6:00 PM the Warriors will gather one last time this season to honor our teams, our coaches and our parents. This annual event will be held at Bella Via in Highland Park. It's a special night, especially for our seniors as we thank them for their contribution to Deerfield Hockey. It is truly a special night.

The Warriors and the Giants collided for back to back games to celebrate those who have served our country. The pregame ceremony included a tribute to the vets in attendance, a puck drop by the Mayor of Deerfield, announcing by Sam Schwartz, and a national anthem. Special jerseys were created and worn by both teams for this event. Deerfield Hockey would like to thank all the real Warriors and we dedicate this night to you. #warriorpride
At Cornerstone Community Outreach, the Warriors step up on weekend mornings to help prepare meals for those less fortunate. The boys give up a little sleep, but work just as hard off the ice when it comes to volunteer work. Coach Randy leads the charge with this mission to make the world a better place, one meal at a time.
Join the Warriors on Tuesday October 22nd at 7:20 PM as Red plays host to PREP, and we honor our teachers. Also, come back Thursday December 12th at 7:35 PM as White takes it's turn to thank our amazing teachers. It's a great time to be a Warrior and an Educator!
The below advertising book is a reflection of the community’s support for our Program. We are extremely grateful for this support and ask the entire Warrior family to continue supporting our sponsors. Thank you.
